About the casino: Lucky Creek casino is a smaller online casino with a Curacao license, part of the infamous Genesys Group, who are known to be stealing from players and affiliate partners. This is a scam casino and under no circumstances should you play in it.

I have a detailed report about this scam, which you can read here, it’s in the review of their main casino, Black Lotus. Proof, screenshots are attached there.

Even tough I was a member of this casino group for about 4 years (specifically the flagship website, the Black Lotus casino), they stole money from me too, and also from other players.

Because I’ve been with the group for years (no longer), I’ve seen them expand from their very humble beginnings into a bigger casino group. They are in operation for 8+ years.

They haven’t always been these lying, scamming, stealing criminals they are now. For years, things worked out fine, and they even advertised on this site (not this casino though, this was always a neglected secondary platform, only their main casino with more games, and a better website was advertising here).

However, I assume due to financial difficulties (this is a small casino company) they have stared stealing money from players, affiliate partners. They also regularly publish fake, paid reviews on gambling blogs, who are willing to publish lies for money (every positive review of these scammers is a paid fake review).

But luckily there are plenty of real 1/10, and 0/10 reviews out there, and many player testimonials, if you look past the first search result page, which is full of their fake reviews.

Lucky Creek casino licence: They have a Curacao gambling licence (you can check the licence here). Curacao licenses are among the worse, more shady gambling licenses.

They are known to openly harbour criminal online casinos (e.g.: like all of the Genesys Technologies N.V. casinos), who openly accept US players, even though the country claims publicly that they don’t allow their license holders to do such things (because they were sued by the World Trade Organization because of this).

Obviously, this is far from the truth, and about 90% of the Curacao licensed online platforms, including Lucky Creek do accept players from the USA, illegally. It’s actually best to avoid any of the Curacao licensed casinos pretty much, but I have to admit, not all of them are bad. But quite a lot of them are.

And the USA is not the only country they accept players from illegally, that would be a long list.

Genesys Club Casinos: The other casinos of this group are: Lotus Asia, Treasure Mile, Mandarin Palace, Big Dollar, Black Lotus, make sure to avoid them as well, same company owns them, same customer support (or lack thereof), same affiliate program, same games.

Apart from the main casino of this group, all of these smaller secondary websites are copycats of each other, there is barely any difference between them (same games, same parent company, same customer support, same license, same issues, same flaws, same scams, only the design of the website seems to be different).

Lucky Creek Casino Scam

Before we get to the review, I have to deduct -20 points for them stealing money from me, and other players. And because of this, the review below is just symbolic (but I tried to be as objective as I can, despite the scandal).

Under no circumstances should you trust this scam, criminal casino group with sensitive information, credit card number, passwords, etc…. They will abuse it! And if you look around online (past the first page, because that is full of their fake, paid casino reviews) you can find plenty of horror stories.

A quick Google search for “Lucky Creek scam”, “Lucky Creek casino didn’t pay me” or “Genesys casino affiliate scam” or “genesys casinos group doesn’t pay affiliate commission” will quickly reveal other similar horror stories from both players and affiliate partners, who were scammed by Genesys.

Lucky Creek online casino review

 

1., Who can play: The most important thing for a player in any new casino is whether you can actually register a real money player account or not, so here is the list of all the countries not accepted at Lucky Creek Casino.

Before you read any further, let’s determine whether you can actually play at the casino at all.

/Clarification: The country of your residence, your current official address, what’s on your ID card (or address card, if it’s a separate thing in your country) is what you should be checking, not your current residence.

Example:

So if you are from the UK, and you currently temporarily reside in the Australia, you can still play, even though Australian players are not accepted at this particular casino.

This is really important, because if you win, they will ask for your ID and/or address card, to make sure you are who you said you are on the registration form. And if your address or name is not the same as what’s on your ID, then they will instantly perma-ban you. And all your winnings will be confiscated, no matter how much you won! Be careful!/

 

 

I put a “?” symbol at United Kingdom and United States. From what I can see, you can register and play from the states, or the UK, it’s actually one of the selling point of the casinos of this group.

They are always described as a casino accepting US players on every gambling blog, on every casino review website.

And if you check the registration form on the website, you can select both the UK and US as your country when trying to register. It’s clearly not true.

This is quite a big (probably intentional) mistake in the terms & conditions (that’s where the list is). And I wouldn’t be surprised if it would cost them quite a lot in a lawsuit, down the line.

But hopefully they will fix it in time, -2 points.

 

UPDATE 2021: They never fixed it, it was there in 2015, and by the time they scammed me, stole money from me and from others in 2021, and I left the casino, it was still there….

It’s intentional, they know they shouldn’t accept players from the UK and the USA, so to mislead authorities they put this in the terms and conditions. It’s basically a criminal offence and they could be sued for this.

The list of restricted countries is very short, + 1 point. However, it’s short only because they illegally accept players from both the UK and the USA (and about 30 other countries), which I mentioned already above, and have already deducted -2 points.

 

Also, in the footer section there are weird links to other low quality casinos.

These casinos are not even part of the Genesys group. This is a so called “link-exchange” or (link selling, if they charge money for it), it’s a black hat online marketing (SEO) technique.

It is considered unethical, shady and outdated. But more importantly, it’s weird, and out of place.

It definitely doesn’t generate trust for the casino when you see something like that, -1 point.

Another issue with the website. The terms and conditions is not readable unless you register. If you click on it, the registration form pops up.

I’m pretty sure this is illegal. But once you registered, you can actually read it, so it might be just a bug, oversight on the casino’s part,-1 point.

2., Games: The second most important thing to players is the number, and also the quality of the games.

/Comment: Some casino game developers are just better than others, Net Ent, Microgaming, Practical Gaming to name three of the best, but the really good software developers are only available to non-US casinos for legal reasons, and they don’t work with online casinos, which accept US players.

Therefore, the selection of US player accepting gambling platforms is always going to be worse than those who don’t./

However, Lucky Creek works with Saucify (a good software developer) Betsoft (average, below average games) and Genii (below average and some bad games) software developers. It’s a mixed bag and they only have a bit over a 200 games, mostly slots, nothing interesting.

This is not enough nowadays, even for a US casino, I deduct -1 point for the lack of quantity and quality.

3., Deposit and withdrawal options: The third most important thing to a player are the deposit and withdrawal options.

Lucky Creek casino offers the following deposit options to players:

Lucky Creek Casino accepts credit cards! Which is great for US players, because due to legal reasons, credit card companies often refuse to deal with US casinos. This is one of the few exceptions.

However! These were only for depositing money, for withdrawing money they only have the following options:

• Wire transfer
• Skrill
• Ecocard
• Bitcoin

 

I’s definitely an inconvenience that they don’t just send your winnings to your credit card, the same card you used to deposit, but that’s the law. Payment processors are independent third party legal entities and it’s really strictly regulated, international transactions especially, and there is nothing they can do about it. This s not their fault.

However, what is their fault is that the minimum withdrawal amount is $150. I can understand a limit of $50, because of the extremely high cost of wire transfer in the US, but $150 seems excessive, -1 point.

Additionally, according to player complaints online, the amount you can withdraw is limited. You can only withdraw $5000. Which means, if you win big, you can’t even withdraw your winnings! The casino denies such allegations of course, but because they are known liars, and scam people, this is probably true. I deduct -2 points for this.

4., Uniqueness: And the last one I think we all are looking for in an online casino is innovation, unique and interesting new online gambling games and features. Anything that makes you “Wow, that’s amazing.”. Does Lucky Creek have the so called ‘wow-factor’? No, not at all. It accepts credit cards, that’s unique for a gambling website that accepts US players, but only for depositing money not for withdrawing so that’s not enough to be considered unique. It has Saucify, Betsoft games. Not that impressive. A lot of US casinos have them too, and they only have around a 100 games, not enough. No unique games, no live dealers, 80% of the games are just plain old 5 reel slots, many are 5+ years old and not mobile compatible. This is a boring, forgettable, US casino with a neglected website, probably will be closed down in a few years.

-Other reviews: It’s always important to check what others say about a casino, to make sure it’s not a scam and Lucky Creek Casino has very bad reviews, ranging from 0/10 to 2/10.

The 1/10 and 0/10 reviews are especially scary. It is a scam site, and according to player complaints it takes them months to get their winnings, even if it’s as little as a $1000, if they get it all, -1 point.
