About the casino: Lotus Asia Casino is part of the infamous Genesys Group, a scammer casino group that steals the money from their players and also steals from their affiliate partners as well.

I have a detailed report about this scam, which you can read here, it’s in the review of their main casino, Black Lotus. Proof, screenshots are attached.

Even though I was a member of this group initially for more than 4 years (specifically the flagship website, the Black Lotus casino), I now have a really bad opinion about them.

I’ve witnessed the group change hands and expand from its humble beginnings, in operation for 8+ years (some casinos of the network have been around for 10+ years, 8 years is the average amount).

However, they also started stealing money from their players. There are plenty of 1/10, and 0/10 reviews out there, and many player testimonials. I don’t know exactly what happened for them to start stealing from partners and players (I assume money troubles), but they stole from me as well. Avoid this casino group.

Yes, I was one of the victims as well. Despite being a registered member, and despite working with them for about 4-5 years, they simply stole from me, and stopped responding to any sort of contact ever since, just like form others.

Lotus Asia casino licence: They have a Curacao gambling licence (you can check the licence here). Curacao licenses are among the worse, more shady gambling licenses.

They are known to openly harbour criminal online casinos (e.g.: like all of the Genesys Technologies N.V. casinos), who openly accept US players, even though the country claims publicly that they don’t allow their license holders to do such things (because they were sued by the World Trade Organization over this).

Obviously, this is far from the truth, and about 90% of the Curacao licensed online platforms, including Lotus Asia do accept players from the USA, illegally. It’s actually best to avoid any of the Curacao licensed casinos pretty much, but I have to admit, not all of them are bad. But quite a lot of them are.

And the USA is not the only country they accept players from illegally, that would be a long list.

Lotus Asia Casino Scam

 

Before we get to the review, I have to deduct -20 points for them stealing money from me, and other players. And because of this, the review below is just symbolic (but I tried to be as objective as I can, despite the scandal).

Under no circumstances should you trust this scam, criminal casino group with sensitive information, credit card number, passwords, etc…. They will abuse it! And if you look around online (past the first page, because that is full of their fake, paid casino reviews) you can find plenty of horror stories.

A quick Google search for “Lotus Asia scam”, “Lotus Asia casino didn’t pay me” or “Genesys casino affiliate scam” or “genesys casinos groups doesn’t pay affiliate commission” will quickly reveal other similar horror stories from both players and affiliate partners, who were scammed by Genesys.

1., Who can play: Let’s start the review by checking whether you can actually play in the online casino or not, here is the list of all the countries Lotus Asia Casino does not accept players from.

So before you read any further, let’s determine whether you can actually play at the casino at all.

/Clarification: The country of your residence, your current official address, what’s on your ID card (or address card, if it’s a separate thing in your country) is what you should be checking, not your current residence.

Example:

So if you are from the UK, and you currently temporarily reside in the Australia, you can still play, even though Australian players are not accepted at this particular casino.

This is really important, because if you win, they will ask for your ID and/or address card, to make sure you are who you said you are on the registration form. And if your address or name is not the same as what’s on your ID, then they will instantly perma-ban you. And all your winnings will be confiscated, no matter how much you won! Be careful!/

 

 

A very short list. +1 point awarded for accepting players from many different countries.

I put a “?” symbol at United Kingdom and United States. From what I can see, you can register and play from the states, or the UK, it’s actually one of the selling point of the casinos of this group.

They are always described as a casino accepting US players on every gambling blog, on every casino review website.

And if you check the registration form on the website, you can select both the UK and US as your country when trying to register. It’s clearly not true.

This is quite a big (probably intentional) mistake in the terms & conditions (that’s where the list is). And I wouldn’t be surprised if it would cost them quite a lot in a lawsuit, down the line.

But hopefully they will fix it in time, -2 points.

 

UPDATE 2021: They never fixed it, it was there in 2015, and by the time they scammed me, stole money from me and from others in 2021, and I left the casino, it was still there….

It’s intentional, they know they shouldn’t accept players from the UK and the USA, so to mislead authorities they put it in the terms and conditions. It’s basically a criminal offence and they could be sued for this.

 

Just like all the other casinos of this network, Lotus Asia aggressively tries to push the registration form in your face, it’s unnecessarily agressive.

I can’t check out the games, no demo mode, can’t read the details of promotions in the loyalty program, almost everything on the website is hidden behind the registration form, -1 point.

2., Games: The second most important thing to players is the number, and also the quality of the games.

Lotus Asia works with Saucify (a good software developer) Betsoft (average, below average games), Genii (below average and some bad games) and Rival (below average and bad games). It’s a mixed bag but there are some good games there, above average selection for a US casino, enough to satisfy even the returning players.

They have 300 games, mostly slots, table games, no poker, classic casino games, no live dealers. The selection of games is good for a US casino, +1 point.

/Comment: Actually Betsoft has gotten really good over the years, and their latest games are almost as good as Netent’s and Microgaming’s. Currently Betsoft is pretty much the best casino software provider available to US casinos./

 

 

Most of these games are mobile compatible, except for the older ones. Above average quality and selection for a US casino.

3., Deposit and withdrawal options: The third most important thing to players are the methods used to deposit and withdraw money from the casino.

This is especially important for US players, because banks, payment processors often make it impossible for them to paly online.

Lotus Asia accept the following methods to deposit money:

• Skrill
• Neteller
• Credit card
• Ecocard
• Bitcoin

 

Lotus Asia Casino accepts credit cards as well! Which is great news for US players, +1 point.

They also accept EcoCard and Bitcoin. More than most casino that accepts US players.

However! These were only for depositing money, for withdrawing money they don’t accept credit cards.

When it comes withdrawing money, they have the following options only:

• Skrill
• Ecocard
• Bitcoin
• Neteller
• Cheque
• Wire transfer

 

Luckily they still accept Bitcoin, Neteller, cheque, wire transfer.

It’s definitely an inconvenience that they don’t just send your winnings to your credit card, the same card you used to deposit, but that’s the law.

Payment processors are independent third party legal entities and it’s really strictly regulated, international transactions especially, there is nothing they can do. Regardless, I deduct -1 point for this.

Another big issue is that the minimum withdrawal amount is $150.

I can understand a limit of $50, because of the extremely high cost of wire transfer in the US, but $150 limit seems excessive, -1 point.

/Comment: Use bitcoin to get the money you won. If you live in the USA, Bitcoin or Neteller might be better to avoid the crushing, usually $50-30 fee for international wire transfers. It’s crazy how expensive wire transfer is in the US! The casino doesn’t cover the wire transfer cost, they deduct it from your winnings./

4., Uniqueness: And the last one I think we all are looking for in an online casino is innovation, unique and interesting new online gambling games and features.

Does Lotus Asia have the so called ‘wow-factor’?

No, it’s a boring, average online casino.

It accepts credit cards, that’s unique for a gambling website that accepts US players, but only for depositing money, not for withdrawing, so that’s not enough to be considered unique.

It accepts bitcoin, but that’s also somewhat common.

It has Saucify, Betsoft, Rival games. But 100s of other US player accepting gambling platforms have them too, just not enough.

If you are not registered, they outright refuse to help you, even to the point of being rude.

–VIP, loyalty program: They have a very a detailed, extensive loyalty program, the Player Club, and it has 4 tiers.

All of the casinos of this group, including Lotus Asia are a part of the same loyalty program.

Lots of promos, bonuses, exclusive codes for returning players and VIPs. However, all bonuses earned from the Players Club have wagering requirements, which is a hassle to keep track of, and it’s usually above 40x (anything above 30x is just designed to make you lose money).

 

-Mobile compatibility:The casino is mobile compatible, most games work on mobile devices.

All the games are instant-play, accessible right from the browser, no download necessary (on mobile it is necessary, you have to download the app), everything is cross-platform and cross-browser compatible.

No extra point awarded for this, because this is pretty much mandatory nowadays, every digital gambling platform, which wishes to be take seriously is mobile compatible.

 

-Other reviews: It’s always important to check what others say about a casino, to make sure it’s not a scam and Lotus Asia Casino has very few reviews (it’s not a well known, popular casino), but the few out there are ranging from 1/10 insinuating that it is a scam to 6/10 (probably fake, lying, paid reviews, they always have ads of the casino, trying to make people to play there).

The 1/10 reviews are justified, this is clearly a scam, and all other casinos of this group are also similarly scams. They steal form the players, illegally accept US players and credit cards, and they lie about it in their terms and conditions.

According to player reports online, the casino limits the withdrawal amount to $5000 per month, and that’s definitely not okay.

Obviously the casino denies such allegations, and the say the limit is higher, and it depends on your loyalty program tier, and that it is higher than $5000 even at the lowest level ($6000 per month at the lowest tier).

It’s bullshit, it’s all a scam, if you win a bigger amount you will never going to see it., -10 points.

 

-Casino bonuses: Lotus Asia, just like all the other casinos of this group have bad bonuses, usually 40x wagering requirement (anything above 30x is considered a bad bonus), -1 point.
