About the casino: BGO is an online casino, digital sports betting and bingo platform and mobile casino with a UK license (a really good trusted licence in the industry, for its UK operations) and an Alderney gambling license too (for accepting international players, and to evade taxes, it’s an offshore tax haven…). You can check these gambling licences here.
/Comment, pronunciation, spelling: Officially spelled as bgo, and pronounced: be-go. However, the official spelling and pronunciation is grammatically incorrect, and it’s just plain stupid, therefore I won’t be using it. It’s just a dumb marketing gimmick. /
They started out a good 10 years ago with only bingo. This gambling blog has been around back then already, so I remember them quite well. It was a smaller operation, focusing on UK women aged 30-40 mostly. However, due to the valuable UK gambling licence, it was bought by big companies, and it received considerable investment. As result, it has grown quite a lot, and bingo is not the main focus of the company, for a very long time (it’s primarily an online casino nowadays).
But disappointingly, it still doesn’t have real sports betting or poker, unlike the other 1% owned gambling giants.
The highlights of this boring, ordinary online casino, according to their marketing pamphlets are:
- over 1000+ slots (reality: most of the bigger non-US online casinos have similar, or more, they don’t make their games, so they have the same games as every other online casino, this doesn’t make them stand out)
- bingo, including live bingo (reality: Who cares? There is a reason why they themselves switched focus away from bingo, people just don’t really care. Very few people play bingo online, there are much better games to play online, digital bingo is just not fun, plain and simple.)
- live dealer casino games (reality: everyone and their grandmother has live casino games nowadays, that’s not a selling point…)
- and virtual sports betting (reality: lame, fake sports betting with graphics similar to early 2010 computer games, I wouldn’t advertise it, I would try to hide it instead…, it’s really not successful, they even have discontinued it once already, but they brought it back for some reason, nobody really bets on virtual sports, and for a good reason, you are better off at e-sports betting, at least that’s fun to watch… or you really want to watch a fake horse races, or full length soccer matches between two AIs?)
As you can see, they don’t really have anything to stand out. It’s just another boring, 12 a dozen online casino, despite their dishonest marketing bullshit.
/Legal disclaimer: Dishonest IMO, the review is my own opinion, based on 15+ years of experience in the online gambling industry, but it’s still subjective.
I had to put this legal disclaimer here. Otherwise they would try to sue me, and silence me, that’s the kind of world we live in…./
Bgo also owns 4 additional smaller online casinos Vegasluck, 7casino, Chili and Powerspins (they are copies of each other, only the design of the website is different, same games, same customer support, same company behind it, bgo, the main casino is better than any of them).
However, despite all this, full disclaimer: I used to be a member of this casino, for a good 6 years. Because very few casino accept players from my country.
/Comment: At that time I didn’t know, but they actually accepted players from my country, Hungary, illegally… For more than 10 years, they accepted players illegally, just keep this in mind about them…. And they also use their Alderney gambling license and Guernsey registered company (Guernsey is another tax haven) to evade UK taxes. That’s the kind of company this is./
I have won my first big sum, which is still the biggest amount I ever won in any online casino, $18 000 on an interesting slot machine, an older one from 2012, made by Microgaming, called Break Away (ice hockey themed slot). It’s still one of my favourite video slots, fast-paced, fun to paly, even to this date, despite the outdated graphics (it has gotten an atrocious mobile re-release in 2018, it’s best to avoid that one, it’s called Break Away Deluxe, really bad).
But besides my good personal experiences, I can not recommend this UK online casino, and below you can read the exact reasons why.
|If you don’t have time to read the full review below, just read this short summary: First of all, BGO casino does not accepts players from the USA.
They have 1100+ games from the best software developers, which is an okay selection, but nothing to write home about (there are many big platforms with even more).
It has lame digital sports betting too, and some live games, with chat interaction (Deal or No Deal is probably the best of what they have).
It doesn’t have poker, or real sports betting. Other online casinos have more and better games. I can not recommend them. It’s just a boring, average, uninteresting online casino. And there others who have more and better games, real sports betting and poker.
There is no point in choosing them over the better alternatives (their promotions are also very bad).
Instead of this online casino, I wholeheartedly recommend the following gambling platform (click to see). They have more, 1500+ games and they have real sports betting and poker too. And they have been around for 20+ years, it’s currently the best rated online casino on this site, a rare 10/10. And it is my current personal favourite as well (also does not accept US players).
/If you are from the USA I recommend this casino, you can read the full review here. This one accepts US players, and it is the best rated US casino on the site currently./
Casino review methodology
Click on the drop down menu below if you are interested in the review process, methodology, and the system by which each casino is reviewed, scored, compared and evaluated.
And also, you can read the detailed explanation as to why US player accepting, and non US player accepting internet casinos differ so much.
Casino review criteria
There are two very different types when it comes to online casinos, casinos, which accept US players, and casinos which do not accept US players. BGO is firmly the latter, not accepting players from the USA or US territories.
This is important to mention, because radically different games are available to both of these types, and they should be reviewed differently.
Primarily European (primarily targeting European players, mostly licensed in Europe, UK gambling licence often) gambling websites always have better and more games, because software providers, due to licensing and legal issues don’t work with casinos, which accept US players.
And it shows.
BGO has over 1100 games, including live dealer games, and it has virtual sports betting as well. While a typical US casino only has about 300-400 games, mostly slots, barely any live dealer games, no unique games, and lower quality games overall (the big names, like NetEnt or Microgaminbg don’t work with US casinos at all). Therefore, a US casino is always going to look bad compared to a European online gambling website.
A good US casino would still be only 3/10 if you compared it to European, non-US casinos. And that is why I rate them separately, US casinos are only compared to other USA casinos.
Therefore, when you see a US casino that is 7-8/10 that would only be a 3-4/10, but it gets a higher score because of the different context, and because it is for different players.
As you can see, US players have it worse, significantly.
And this is also the reason why I don’t advise non-US players to play in US casinos, ever.
Just wanted to mention this, to avoid confusion as to why a 300 games US casino might get the same score as a EU powerhouse with 1000+ games.
Review methodology: In each section I review one of the primary attributes of the casino, these are: list of countries not accepted, list of games, deposit and withdrawal process and methods and uniqueness.
Each of these aspects then gets points ranging from +2, meaning exceptionally good, to -2, exceptionally bad.
Additionally at end of the review I go through what I consider to be less important secondary attributes, such as: live support chat, VIP/loyalty program, mobile compatibility, other reviews, bonuses, promotions, reputation.
At the end I tally all the points and add and subtract them from 10. This will give the final score of the casino. I use a 1 to 10 scale, 10 being the best and 1 being the worst, no 0 or minus scores.
BGO online casino review
The review of bgo mobile casino, bingo site and virtual sports betting gambling platform consist of the following sections (click on the links below to jump to that section):
- Bgo list of restricted countries, registration process
- Bgo games selection
- Bgo deposit and withdrawal options and other payment methods
- Bgo uniqueness
- Bgo rating
1., Who can play: The most important thing for any new player in a new digital casino is whether you can actually register a real money player account or not, so here is the list of all the countries not accepted at BGO casino.
Before you read any further, let’s determine whether you could actually play at the casino, if you wanted to.
Clarification: The country of your residence, your current official address, what’s on your ID card (or address card, if it’s a separate thing in your country) is what you should be checking, not your current residence.
So if you are from the UK, and you currently temporarily reside in the US, you can still play, even though US players are not accepted at this particular casino.
This is really important, because if you win, they will ask for your ID and/or address card, to make sure you are who you said you are on the registration form. And if your address or name is not the same as what’s on your ID, then they will instantly perma-ban you. And all your winnings will be confiscated, no matter how much you won! Be careful!
/Comment: Many erroneously assume this is the casino’s fault, it’s not. This is required by law, because of anti-money laundering laws./
BGO prohibited countries and territories
The list of countries BGO casino does not accept players from. Click below to expand.
BGO does not accept players from:
- Czech Republic
- France and overseas regions
- Hong Kong
- North Korea
- Sierra Leone
- USA and US territories
- United Arab Emirates
Everyone else can register and play at the casino.
Quite a long list sadly. I deducted -1 point for this sizeable list of restricted countries.
It’s not their decision though (mostly), the gambling licences don’t allow players these countries (at least most of the banned countries, but some extra were added, probably due to what is called in the gambling industry “bonus abuse”).
Even though this a long list, I can tell that they still accept players from many countries they shouldn’t (at the very least they accept players illegally from Austria, Brazil and Mexico + they have accepted players from Hungary illegally too, for 10+ years, and this only at a quick glance, probably there are many more). Therefore, I deduct an additional -1 point for illegally accepting players, and violating the laws of these countries.
/Comment: It’s mostly a victimless crime, and these laws are neve enforced, but if they are willing to break the law, that creates a very worrying precedent. It makes you wonder what kind of other rules and laws they are breaking when no one watches…/
Another -1 deducted for aggressively pushing registration, and for an overly complicated and long registration form.
You can’t check out the games in the demo mode. You can’t click anywhere without the website aggressively pushing the registration form in your face. I really don’t like it, very agressive, unnecessarily so.
Not to mention, the registration form they are using is insufferable, needlessly complicated and very long, the worst I have seen so far. Registration takes 10 minutes because of this (if you ae lucky and the system finds your address and phone number, which it often does not…).
EXTRA: I found a bug on the website. Here is a picture:
If you are not registered, and if you click on bingo in the main menu, all of a sudden the icon for “Rewards Hub” turns into “Candy Club”, which is the old name of the rewards program.
And if you click on it, it links to the old webpage of their loyalty program.
Not a big thing, but I really dislike it that such a big company with millions of dollars still has bugs on their website, visible bugs, that are have been there for at the very least 5 years. I deduct another -0.5 for this.
Fix it please!
Accessibility, number of countries accepted: -1
+ bug on the website -0.5
2., Games: The second most important thing to players is the number and quality of the games. Some casino game developers are just better than others (e.g.: Net Ent, Microgaming, just to name the two biggest).
BGO selection of games: The games of bgo casino are a mix of games from the best casino software providers including: Microgaming, Net Entertainment, IGT, WMS, Bally and Playtech, with some interesting smaller ones too like Ash gaming, Blue Gem Gaming and Blueprint Gaming in the mix.
Not to mention, there are some homebrew, in-house games too, which is neat gesture (even though, these homebrew games are really bad… ;) ).
The total amount of games is 1110, which is in line with the other big non-US online casinos. However, the quality of the selection is really good, for that I award +1.
BGO - list of games
The full list of games at BGO casino. All the 1110 games.
Ace Ventura, Alien Hunter, Atlantis Queen, Beach Life, Benchwarmer Football Girls, Bermuda Triangle, Bonus Bears, Britain’s Got Talent, Captain’s Treasure, Cashblox, Cat In Vegas, Cat Queen, Chinese Kitchen, Chippendales, Cinerama, Cops N’ Bandits, Cowboys & Aliens, Crazy 7, Daring Dave & the Eye of Ra, Desert Treasure II, Diamond Valley, Dolphin Cash, Dr Love More, Dragon Kingdom, Easter Surprise, Esmeralda, Everybody’s Jackpot, Football Carnival, Football Fans, Football Rules!, Forest of Wonder, Fortunate 5, Fortune Hill, Fountain of Youth, Foxy Fortunes, Frankie’s Magic 7 JP, Frankie’s Magic Seven, Fruit Mania, Funky Fruits Farm, Funky Fruits Jackpot Game, Funky Monkey, Ghosts of Christmas, Gladiator, Gladiator Jackpot, Goblin’s Cave, Goddess of Life, Gold Rally, Golden Games, Golden Tour, Great Blue, Halloween Fortune, Haunted House, Highway Kings, Highway Kings Pro, Hot Gems, Ice Hockey, Ice Run, Jackpot Giant, John Wayne, Jungle Boogie, Kong The Eighth Wonder Of The World, Lotto Madness, Lucky Panda, Marilyn Monroe, Mega Ball, Monty Python’s Spamalot Slot, Mr. Cashback, Neptune’s Kingdom, Ocean Princess, Party Line, Piggies and the Wolf, Pink Panther, Plenty O’Fortune, Purple Hot, Queen of Pyramids, Riches of Don Quixote, Rock n Roller, Rocky, Safecracker, Samba Brazil, Santa Surprise, Sherlock Mystery, Silver Bullet, Sultan’s Fortune, Sunset Beach, Sweet Party, Tennis Stars, Thai Temple, The Jazz Club, The Love Boat, The Mummy, The Pyramid of Ramesses, The Six Million Dollar Man, The Three Musketeers and The Queen’s Diamond, Thrill Seekers, Top Gun, Tres Amigos, Triple Profits, Tropic Reels, Ugga Bugga, Vikingmania, White King, Wild Games, Wild Spirit, Wild Viking, Wings of Gold, Wu Long, Zhao Cai Jin Bao, Amazon Wild, Full Moon Fortunes, Little Britain, Wild Gambler, Wild Gambler 2: Arctic Adventure, Siberian Storm, Dr. Magoo’s Adventure, Starburst, Cleopatra, Aloha, Gonzo’s Quest, McCoy Sporting Legend, Motorhead etc…
Table Games and video poker
Baccarat, Caribbean Poker, Texas Hold’em Bonus, Wan Doy Pairs Poker, Roulette Master. Video poker: Jacks or Better, Deuces Wild Power Poker, Phantom Belle Bonus, Whack-a-Jackpot, Hi-Lo Techno and Granny Prix.
Roulette: Classic roulette, Premium Roulette, 3 Wheel Roulette and French Roulette.
Blackjack games: Classic blackjack, Single Blackjack, Premium Blackjack, Blackjack Switch, Perfect Blackjack, Unlimited Blackjack, Alexandrite Blackjack, Royale Blackjack, Hi-Low, Spin-A-Win and Sic-bo.
Virtual Sports Betting
Football, horse racing, greyhound racing and tennis. The quality of the graphics could be improved to make it more lifelike, they are not very good, and it’s also boring.
Bingo and live bingo.
Most of these games are mobile compatible, except for the really old ones.
Good quality selection of games: +1
3., Deposit and withdrawal options: Another really important thing to consider are the deposit and payout options. You obviously can’t win anything unless you bet real money. Let’s see what bgo offers in this area.
Deposit and withdrawal methods available:
Because bgo accepts the most important deposit methods (Paypal and credit cards) for both depositing and withdrawal it gets a +1.
However! For deposits below £/€/$ 500, an additional tax offset fee of 2.5% of the deposited amount is charged. And additionally BGO charges a $2.5 fee for withdrawal. And for that BGO gets -2.
/Comment: This is really bad, I hate it when online casinos charge extra for depositing or withdrawal, really a pet peeve of mine. They already make a lot of money, don’t put extra hidden fees everywhere, it’s greedy./
All of these methods can be used for both depositing and withdrawing money.
Deposit and withdrawal options: +1
Hidden fees: -2
4., Uniqueness: And the last one I think we all are looking for in an online casino is innovation, unique and interesting new games and features. Anything that makes you “Wow, that’s amazing.” or “I have never seen something like this.”.
Does BGO casino have that so called ‘wow-factor’?
No, it doesn’t. It just a 12 a dozen, boringly average online casino with nothing that would set them apart from the competition, -1 point.
Innovation, interesting, unique features/games: -1
The following are less important optional factors, but still contribute to the total score:
-Live support chat: Live, support chat round the clock is a must for any high quality casino nowadays.
Does BGO have 24/7 live customer support?
Almost. For a few hours, during the presumably least busy hours there is no live chat (live support is from 8.30am – midnight, every day, GMT+0).
Understandable, but still, I give it a small deduction, -0.5 point.
We all like round the clock live chat support, and this can be really inconvenient for certain time zones. Don’t cut corners.
–VIP, loyalty program: Sadly I can not say anything about the VIP program.
Even though I was a member of the casino for 7 years, I was never VIP (I don’t have that sort of money).
However, their regular loyalty program is pretty good, because apart from the regular bonuses and promos (,which I really don’t care about, boring, average stuff with high wagering and playthrough requirement). They uniquely in the industry give you free (actually free, no wagering requirement, no playthrough requirement!) money on your birthday!
The amount depends on your loyalty level, but still, free money is free money, +1 point is awarded.
-Mobile compatibility: The casino is mobile compatible, most games work on mobile devices, everything is pretty user friendly, but you can tell the old games were not designed for such small screens originally. But that’s not the casino’s fault.
All the games are instant-play, accessible right from the browser, no download necessary. Everything is cross-platform and cross-browser compatible.
-Other reviews, scandals: It’s always important to check what others say about a casino, to make sure it’s not a scam and to see whether it had any scandal.
I can say without a doubt that BGO has okay reviews, usually 7/10 or 8/10 on average. It’s not a scam and they will pay you your winnings (I was a player myself for years I can attest to this personally).
Bgo was not involved in any scandals.
-Casino bonuses: This is where Bgo is really not doing well, at least right now. They used to have really good bonuses, but for years now, they are abysmal.
First, it’s only available to UK players and it has an unbelievably high 65x wagering requirement, that’s really bad. One of the worst in the industry, -1 point.
Total score: BGO casino gets 6/10, 3/5 stars. It’s a boring and forgettable, and I don’t recommend it. There are much better online casinos. Don’t waste your time with this one. Check out the other casino reviews or this one, the currently best rated online casino.

Good luck, and gamble responsibly,
Don't worry, this is not an ad! ;) Just wanted to make sure to tell you that I'm glad you visited this gambling blog.
I'm Simon, the only author and the man behind this blog (if you are interested, my unusual life story can be found on the homepage, under the "About me" dropdown section).
I'm an independent gambling blogger since 2012. In this sector dominated by huge media companies, casino operators and online marketing networks, who can easily spend $ millions on their online gambling blogs, it's not easy for an independent nobody like me to survive. It took me about 6 years, working my ass off, to even have a chance to be noticed by visitors like you. I'm lucky enough that for a few years now, I make enough money to be able to do this full time (before that, I had part-time jobs, ghost writing gigs, online marketing this and that).
Now I can finally do this full time, thanks to visitors like you! And it means a lot! If you are interested, please bookmark this site (no social media profiles, I no longer have any, but please feel free to share anything on any social media networks, if you still use them). I don't have any money to advertise, and if you have a personal blog, any social media profile, please mention my gambling blog and link back to it. This the only way for a small website like this to grow. Thank you!
Charity: As a way to help others, to give back, I sometimes donate to Kiva. If you click on the ads on the website, I make some money. And in a good month, if I make more than my expenses, I donate to people and projects on Kiva.
Kiva helps young entrepreneurs in developing countries, which is an issue close to my heart for obvious reasons. If you have the means, please sign up with the revolutionary non-profit company Kiva.org and help people lift themselves out of poverty, through hard-work, and an initial investment (non-profit loan). These non-profit loans encourage entrepreneurship and hard work instead of creating a dependent class that is afraid to get a job, or start a business (because if they did, they would no longer get support and free money, disincentivezing hard work and entrepreneurship). This is the right way to fight poverty in developing countries (or anywhere else really), and if this is something you are interested in, and if you would like to know more, or to help out, please check out Kiva.org here. Thank you!
