Powerspins is a gambling platform with Alderney & UK gambling licences (the UK licence is one of the best, most trusted licence in the industry). They are part of the BGO Entertainment Limited group along with the websites: Vegasluck, 7casino, Chili and the main casino BGO. I personally played in BGO casino, the main casino of this group for 6+ years (spelled officially as “bgo”, pronounced be-go), but recently my player account was closed due to changes in legislation in my home country (Bgo group no longer accepts players from my country). I trust this network completely. You can be certain you will get your winnings here, all of it, no matter how much you win, all the time. The biggest I won over the years was slightly over €10 000 already and I had no problems getting money (mandatory ID check of course, but no unnecessary delays, always got the money, and that’s what matters). This company is legitimate, and a bigger one, with about 200 employees (according to the UK company registry, 200-300 employees, divided among 5 separate online casinos) a realyl big name in the online gambling scene.
One of the ways I determine whether a casino can be trusted or not is whether it has been around for a sufficiently long time, and BGO Entertainment Limited and its casinos on average have been in business for at least 8 years (that’s the average number,e.g.: bgo.com, the main casino has been in operation for about 15 years).
In this review I will mention many of the same things I mentioned in the other reviews of the other casinos of this network, because they have the same games, a shared customer service program and the same loyalty program as well. The only difference is the name and the design of the websites.
If you don’t have time to read the full review and you are just looking for a short summary, just read this: Powerspins does not accept US players. Don’t play in this one, not worth it, just stick to BGO casino, their flagship casino, it has more and better games, and that’s obviously the main focus of the company. It’s a much better choice in every possible way. Literally, it makes no sense to choose this casino over the main casino of the network.
Simon says: There are two separate categories in the world of online gambling, casinos which accept US players, and casinos which do not accept US players. Powerspins is firmly the latter, not accepting players from the USA or US territories. This is important to mention in a review, because radically different games are available to both of these casino types and they should be reviewed differently. Primarily European (primarily targeting European players, mostly licensed in Europe, UK gambling license often) gambling websites always have better and more games, because software providers, due to licensing and legal issues don’t work with casinos, which accept US players. And it shows.
Powerspins has over 600 games, including live dealer games. While a typical US casino only has about 200-300 games, mostly slots, barely any live dealer games, no unique games and lower quality games overall. Therefore a US casino is always going to look bad compared to a European online gambling website.
So, a good US casino would still be only 3/10 compared to a European one. However, in a review I will still rate a good US casino 7-8/10 because of the different context, and it’s for different players, for US players only lower quality casinos are available sadly. Therefore when I review casino I use a separate scoring system for both fundamentally different types. A good US casino will still get 7/10 or 8/10 like it should instead of a 3/10. Just wanted to make this clear to avoid confusion as to why a 300 games US casino might get the same score as a EU powerhouse with 1000+ games.
Review methodology: In each section I review one of the primary attributes of the casino, these are: list of countries not accepted, list of games, deposit and withdrawal process and methods, uniqueness. Each of these aspects then gets points ranging from +2, meaning exceptionally good to -2, exceptionally bad. Additionally at end of the review I go through what I consider to be less important secondary attributes, such as live support chat, VIP, loyalty program, mobile compatibility, other reviews, bonuses, promotions.
At the end I tally all the points and add and subtract them from 10. This will give the final score of the casino. I use a 1 to 10 scale, 10 being the best and 1 being the worst, no 0 or minus scores.
Powerspins online casino review
1., Who can play: The most important in my opinion when choosing an online casino is to first determine whether you can actually play in the casino at all.
/Clarification: The country of your residence, your official address, what’s on your ID card (or address card if it’s a separate thing in your country) is what you should be checking, not your current residence. So if you are from the UK and you currently temporarily reside in the US, you can still play, even though US players are not accepted. It’s important, because if you win, they will ask for your ID and/or address card to make sure you are who you said you are on the registration form, and they will check the address on your ID card, if it’s not the same as what you put down during registration they will instantly perma-ban you. And all your winnings will be confiscated, no matter how much you won! Be careful! /

Powerspins does not accept players from:
- Czech Republic
- France and overseas regions
- Hong Kong
- North Korea
- Sierra Leone
- USA and US territories
- United Arab Emirates
Everyone else can register and play at the casino.
Quite a long list sadly. Longer than many other online casinos. -1 point deduction for the huge list of restricted countries. I know it’s mostly not their decision, their gambling licences don’t allow these countries. However, some extra were added, probably due to what is called in the gambling industry “bonus abuse”.
Accessibility, number of countries accepted: -1
2., Games: The second most important thing to regular players is the number, and also the quality of the games. Some casino game developers are just better than others, Net Ent, Bally or IGT to name three of the biggest, and on the other hand e.g.: Blue Gem Gaming which is in no way bad, but doesn’t hold a candle to these three. So the amount, but also the quality are really important (in fact the quality is more important because most of the games on every online casino’s website are old, ugly, and not mobile compatible, so the list of games is always inflated with low quality games, really old games).
Powerspins’ selection of games: The games of Powerspins casino are a mix of games from the best casino software providers including: Microgaming, Net Entertainment, IGT, WMS, Bally and Playtech with some interesting smaller ones too like Ash gaming, Blue Gem Gaming, Blueprint Gaming thrown in there to make it more interesting. They have about 600 games in total, a good selection, but it’s 95% slots, barely anything else, no live dealer games, barely any classic table games, nothing unique, nothing special. The jackpots are okay too. However, the flagship casino has over 1000 games, and in a lot more categories + much higher jackpots. They pale in comparison. It’s a better idea to go for the main casino instead (the main casino also has sports betting and live bingo, Powerspins doesn’t). So for the selection they don’t get a deduction, but they don’t get a point either.[sections] [section title=”Powerspins – list of games”] The full list of games at Powerspins casino. Most of these games are mobile compatible, except for the older ones.
3., Deposit and withdrawal options: The third most important thing to a player are the deposit and withdrawal options. You obviously can’t win anything unless you bet money. And in this area Powerspins is doing really well. Apart from the usual:
Powerspins accepts Paypal as well. For both depositing money and for withdrawals. +1
(UPDATE: Due to changes in regulations, laws regarding online gambling Paypal will be increasingly more common as a means to pay or receive money in online casinos from April 14 2020, in fact that will be the standard form of payment going forward in UK licensed casinos and credit cards won’t be accepted directly, only through Paypal, eventually.)
However! For deposits below £/€/$ 500, an additional tax offset fee of 2.5% of the deposit amount is charged. And Chili charges a $2.5 fee for withdrawal. And for that Chili gets -2.
This is really bad, I hate it when online casinos charge extra for depositing or withdrawal, really a pet peeve of mine. They already make a lot of money, don’t put extra hidden fees everywhere, unacceptable.
Deposit and withdrawal options +1
Charging money for deposits and withdrawals: -2
Total, payment options: -1
4., Uniqueness: And the last one I think we all are looking for in an online casino is innovation, unique and interesting new online gambling games and features. Anything that makes you “Wow, that’s amazing.”. Does Powerspins have the so called ‘wow-factor’? No. It doesn’t. It’s just an average online casino, nothing special, nothing unique, nothing extra, just like the hundreds of other competing digital casinos. I wouldn’t recommend them when there are so many other better casinos out there.
Innovation, interesting, unique features/games: -0.5, nothing unique here
The following are less important optional factors, but still contribute to the total score:
-Live support chat: Live support chat round the clock is a must if you aim to be a top casino. Does Powerspins have 24/7 live customer support? Almost. This is the same exact customer support chat as the other casinos in the BGO Entertainment network have, it’s shared. For a few hours, during the presumably least busy hours there is no live chat (live support is from 8.30am – midnight, every day, GMT+0). Understandable, but still, a small deduction is given, -0.5. We all like round the clock live chat support and depending on your time zone it can be really inconvenient.
–VIP, loyalty program: They have the same rewards, VIP program as all the other casinos in the group, luckily I was a member of the casino group for 7 years, so I know it very well. Sadly I can not say anything about the VIP program, I never made VIP (I never played with that much money). However, their regular loyalty program is pretty good because apart from the regular bonuses and promos (,which I really don’t care about, boring, average stuff, usually 30x wagering requirement) they uniquely in the industry give you free (actually free, no wagering requirement, no playthrough requirement!) money on your birthday! The amount depends on your loyalty level, but still, free money is free money +1.
-Mobile compatibility: The casino is mobile compatible, most games work on mobile devices, pretty user friendly, but you can tell the games were not designed for such small screens originally. But that’s not the casino’s fault. All the games are instant-play, accessible right from the browser, no download necessary (on mobile it is necessary, you have to download the app) everything is cross-platform and cross-browser compatible.
-Other reviews: It’s always important to check what others say about a casino, to make sure it’s not a scam and I can say without a doubt that Powerspins and all the smaller casinos of the BGO Entertainment network have okay reviews, usually 5/10 or 6/10, average scores, rightfully so, this is an average casino, quite forgettable. Nothing special.
-Casino bonuses: This is where Powerspins is really not doing well, at least right now. First of all, it’s only available to UK players and it has an unbelievably high 65x wagering requirement, that’s really bad. -1. Every casino bonus over 30x wagering requirement is considered bad for the players, and this is twice that. I strongly recommend playing without it. Using a bonus is not mandatory, you can start playing without it.
Total score: Powerspins casino gets 6/10, 3/5 stars, average, forgettable I don’t recommend it. (BGO casino, the flagship casino of the network gets a much better 8/10, choose that instead of this, much better choice, more and better games + sports betting, same company, you can find the BGO casino and the review here.)
I’m pretty sure in a few years it will be merged into the main website, and all the players will be migrated because as it currently stands there is no point in keeping this around as a separate entity.

| Don't worry, this is not an ad! 😉 Just wanted to make sure to tell you that I'm glad you visited this gambling blog. I'm Simon, the only author and the man behind this blog (if you are interested, my unusual life story can be found on the homepage, under the "About me" dropdown section).|
I'm an independent gambling blogger since 2012. In this sector dominated by huge media companies, casino operators and online marketing networks, who can easily spend $ millions on their online gambling blogs, it's not easy for an independent nobody like me to survive. It took me about 6 years, working my ass off, to even have a chance to be noticed by visitors like you. I'm lucky enough that for a few years now, I make enough money to be able to do this full time (before that, I had part-time jobs, ghost writing gigs, online marketing this and that).
Now I can finally do this full time, thanks to visitors like you! And it means a lot! If you are interested, please bookmark this site (no social media profiles, I no longer have any, but please feel free to share anything on any social media networks, if you still use them). I don't have any money to advertise, and if you have a personal blog, any social media profile, a personal blog, please mention my gambling blog and link back to it. This the only way for a small website like this to grow. Thank you!

Kiva helps young entrepreneurs in developing countries, which is an issue close to my heart for obvious reasons. If you have the means, please sign up with the revolutionary non-profit company Kiva.org and help people lift themselves out of poverty, through hard-work, and an initial investment (non-profit loan). These non-profit loans encourage entrepreneurship and hard work, instead of creating a dependent class that is afraid to get a job, or start a business (because if they did, they would no longer get support and free money, disincentivizing hard work and entrepreneurship). This is the right way to fight poverty in developing countries (or anywhere else really), and if this is something you are interested in, and if you would like to know more, or to help out, please check out Kiva.org here. Thank you!
