7casino review

7casino is a smaller online casino, part of the Bgo Entertainment Ltd network. Like all websites of this group it has a UK gambling license (considered to be the best possible licence) and an Alderney license too. The other gambling platforms of the BGO casino group are Vegasluck, Chili, Powerspins and BGO. I personally played in BGO, the main casino (spelled officially as “bgo”, pronounced be-go) for years, and I trust this group completely. I trust this group enough to trust them with my money. This is not a shady casino, if you win, even if you win big, you will get your money. In fact, I once won around €15 000, no problems, no unnecessary delays (mandatory ID check of course, but no unnecessary delays, got the money, and that’s all that matters). Bgo Entertainment Ltd. is one of the bigger gambling networks in operation, with about 200 employees (according to the UK company registry, 200-300 employees, divided among 5 separate online casinos). One of the criteria I use to tell whether a casino can be trusted or not is whether it has been around for a sufficiently long time, and BGO Entertainment Limited and all of their casinos on average have been in business for at least 8 years (that’s the average number,e.g.:, the main casino has been in operation for about 15 years).

In this review I will mention many of the same things I mentioned already in the other reviews of the other casinos of this network, because they have the same games, a shared customer service program, the same loyalty program and therefore the same strengths and weaknesses as well. The only difference is the name and the design of the website (and even that’s not very different looking).

If you don’t have time to read the full review and you are just looking for a short summary, just read this: Don’t play in this one, not worth it, just stick to BGO casino, their flagship casino, it has more and better games, and that’s obviously the main focus of the company. It’s a much better choice in every possible way. It makes no sense to choose this casino over the main casino of the network.

If you are from the USA try this casino instead, this accepts US players.

This is the image of the 'Simon says' part of my casino reviews. Next to this picture is my description of my review methodlogy and explanation of the scoring system and data points analysed.

Simon says: There are two different categories when it comes to online casinos, casinos which accept US players, and casinos which do not accept US players. 7casino is firmly the latter, not accepting players from the USA or US territories. This is important to mention in a review, because radically different games are available to both of these casino types and they should be reviewed differently. Primarily European (primarily targeting European players, mostly licensed in Europe, UK gambling license often) gambling websites always have better and more games, because software providers, due to licensing and legal issues don’t work with casinos, which accept US players. And it shows.

7casino has over 500 games, including live dealer games. While a typical US casino only has about 200-300 games, mostly slots, barely any live dealer games, no unique games and lower quality games overall. Therefore a US casino is always going to look bad compared to a European online gambling website.

So, a good US casino would still be only 3/10 compared to a European one. However, In a review I would still rate a good US casino 7-8/10 because different context, and for different players, that’s all there is for US players sadly. Therefore when I review casino I use a separate scoring system for both fundamentally different types. A good US casino will still get 7/10 or 8/10 like it should instead of a 3/10. Just wanted to mention this, to avoid confusion as to why a 300 games US casino might get the same score as a EU powerhouse with 1000+ games.

This is the illustration right next to my review and research methodology part. You can read about my review methodology, and scoring system I use throughout the review.

Review methodology: In each section I review one of the primary attributes of the casino, these are: list of countries not accepted, list of games, deposit and withdrawal process and methods, uniqueness. Each of these aspects then gets points ranging from +2, meaning exceptionally good to -2, exceptionally bad. Additionally at end of the review I go through what I consider to be less important secondary attributes, such as live support chat, VIP, loyalty program, mobile compatibility, other reviews, bonuses, promotions.
At the end I tally all the points and add and subtract them from 10. This will give the final score of the casino. I use a 1 to 10 scale, 10 being the best and 1 being the worst, no 0 or minus scores.

7casino online casino review

1., Who can play: The most important thing for a player in a new casino is whether you can actually play or not, so here is the list of all the countries not accepted at 7casino. So before you read any further let’s determine whether you can actually play at the casino at all.

/Clarification: The country of your residence, your official address, what’s on your ID card (or address card if it’s a separate thing in your country) is what you should be checking, not your current residence. So if you are from the UK and you currently temporarily reside in the US, you can still play, even though US players are not accepted. It’s important, because if you win, they will ask for your ID and/or address card to make sure you are who you said you are on the registration form, and they will check the address on your ID, if it’s not the same as what you put down during registration they will instantly perma-ban you. And all your winnings will be confiscated, no matter how much you won! Be careful! /

Everyone else can register and play at the casino.

UPDATE: 7casino no longer accepts player from the UK

Quite a long list sadly. So -1 point for not accepting players from many countries. I know it’s mostly not their decision, their gambling licences don’t allow these countries. However, some extra were added, probably due to what is called in the gambling industry “bonus abuse”, again, understandable, but still, it’s a form of discrimination and inconveniences all visitors from these countries. A casino should strive to be accommodating to as many players as possible.

Another -0.5 deducted for aggressively pushing registration on the casino’s page. You can’t check the games, you can’t play with the games in demo mode, you can’t click anywhere without the website aggressively pushing the registration form in your face. I really don’t like it, very agressive, unnecessarily so. If I want to register at a casino, thank you, but I can find the registration form on my own, too agressive.

Accessibility, number of countries accepted: -1
Website: -0.5
total: -1.5

2., Games: The second most important thing to regular players is the number, and also the quality of the games. Some casino game developers are just better than others, Net Ent, Bally or IGT to name three of the biggest, and on the other hand e.g.: Blue Gem Gaming which is in no way bad, but doesn’t hold a candle to these three. So the amount, but also the quality are really important (in fact the quality is more important because most of the games on every online casino’s website are old, ugly, and not mobile compatible, so the list of games is always inflated with low quality games).

7casino’s selection of games: The games of 7casino casino are a mix of games from the best casino software providers including: Microgaming, Net Entertainment, IGT, WMS, Bally and Playtech with some interesting smaller ones too like Ash gaming, Blue Gem Gaming, Blueprint Gaming thrown in there to make it more interesting. They have about 600 games in total, a good selection, but the flagship casino has over 1000 games, therefore they don’t offer anything over the main website, in fact it’s a better idea to go for the main casino instead (the main casino also has sports betting, 7casino doesn’t).  So for the selection they don’t get a deduction, but no extra points either.

3., Deposit and withdrawal options: The third most important thing to a player are the deposit and withdrawal options. You obviously can’t win anything unless you bet money. And in this area 7casino really shines. Apart from the usual: Visa, Mastercard,  Maestro, Skrill and Neteller, 7casino accepts Paypal as well! Yes, 7casino is a paypal casino, one of the few remaining ones. Not many of that around nowadays.

(UPDATE: Due to changes in regulations, laws regarding online gambling Paypal is a lot more common as a means to pay or receive money in online casinos since April 14 2020, in fact it will be the standard form of payment going forward in UK licensed casinos and credit cards won’t be accepted directly, only through Paypal, eventually.)

Because 7casino accepts Paypal for both depositing and withdrawal it gets a +1.

However! For deposits below £/€/$ 500, an additional tax offset fee of 2.5% of the deposited amount is charged. And 7casino charges a $2.5 fee for withdrawal. And for that 7casino gets -2.
This is really bad, I hate it when online casinos charge extra for depositing or withdrawal, really a pet peeve of mine. They already make a lot of money, don’t put extra hidden fees everywhere, really greedy.

Payment options: -1

4., Uniqueness: And the last one I think we all are looking for in an online casino is innovation, unique and interesting new online gambling games and features. Anything that makes you “Wow, that’s amazing.”. Does 7casino have the so called ‘wow-factor’? No. It doesn’t. It’s just an average online casino, nothing special, nothing unique, nothing extra, just like the hundreds of other digital casinos just a click away.

Innovation, interesting, unique features/games: 0, none

The following are less important optional factors, but still contribute to the total score:

-Live support chat: Live support chat round the clock is a must if you aim to be a top casino. Does 7casino have 24/7 live customer support? Almost. For a few hours, during the presumably least busy hours there is no live chat (live support is from 8.30am – midnight, every day, GMT+0). Understandable, but still, a small deduction is given, -0.5, we all like round the clock live chat support, depending on your time zone it can be really inconvenient, and the players base of an online casino is really diverse.

VIP, loyalty program: They have the same loyalty and VIP program as the flagship casino, luckily I was a member of the casino group for 6 years, so I know this program very well. Sadly I can not say anything about the VIP program, I never made VIP (I don’t play with that sort of money). However, their regular loyalty program is pretty good because apart from the regular bonuses and promos (,which I really don’t care about, boring, average stuff, usually 30x, 35x wagering req. bonuses) they uniquely in the industry give you free (actually free, no wagering requirement, no playthrough requirement!) money on your birthday the amount depends on your loyalty level, but still, free money is free money, so they deserve a +1. I wish more casinos would do this.

-Mobile compatibility: The casino is mobile compatible, most games work on mobile devices, pretty user friendly, but you can tell the games were not designed for such small screens originally. But that’s not the casino’s fault. All the games are instant-play, accessible right from the browser, no download necessary (on mobile it is necessary, you have to download the app) everything is cross-platform and cross-browser compatible.

-Other reviews: It’s always important to check what others say about a casino, to make sure it’s not a scam and I can say without a doubt that 7casino and all casinos of the BGO Entertainment network have okay reviews, usually 5/10 or 6/10, average scores, rightfully so, this is an average casino, quite forgettable. It’s not a scam and it will pay you your winnings (I’m a registered member for 7 years I can attest to it personally) no matter how much you won.

-Casino bonuses: This is where 7casino is really not doing well, at least right now. First of all, this is just an exact copy of the same bonus BGO offers, the main casino, this is lazy to begin with (all casinos of the network copy the main casino’s bonus, without any change). Not to mention the current bonus is abysmal. First, it’s only available to UK players and it has an unbelievably high 65x wagering requirement, that’s really bad. -1. Casino bonuses over a 30x wagering requirement are always considered bad. And 65x is more than twice that! I strongly recommend playing without this bonus, it’s not mandatory, you can start playing without it, and I recommend doing just that because it is designed to only make you lose money.

Total score: 7casino casino gets 6/10, 3/5 stars, average, forgettable, I don’t recommend it over the main website of the group. (BGO casino, the flagship casino of the network gets a much better 8/10, choose that instead of this, much better choice, same company, you can find the Bgo casino review and the website here.)

I’m pretty sure in a few years it will be merged into the main website, and all the players will be migrated because as it currently stands there is no point in keeping this around as a separate entity. That’s my prediction.

Thank you for visiting:
This is a selfie of the author and owner of Simon's Casino Gambling Blog, me, Simon András Péter, a.k.a. by the internet pseudonym SimonTheSorcerer, owner of Simon's Online Marketing Kft. This is the homepage of my online casino gambling blog, you can see what's on the website, the links to all the different sections of the website.
That's me, Simon, thank you for visiting.
Don't worry, this is not an ad! 😉 Just wanted to make sure to tell you that I'm glad you visited this gambling blog. I'm Simon, the only author and owner of this independent gambling blog (if you are interested, my unusual life story can be found on the homepage, under the "About me" dropdown section).
I'm an independent gambling blogger since 2012, and in this industry dominated by huge media companies, gambling companies and online marketing companies, who can easily spend $ millions on their online gambling blogs, it's not easy for an independent nobody like me to even appear in search engines (I do everything, I don't have any employees, no venture funding). It took me about 6 years, working my ass off, for search engines to start putting my site in front of visitors like you, and I'm lucky enough that for a few years now, I make enough money to be able to do this full time (before that, I had part-time jobs, ghost writing gigs, online marketing this and that, to make ends meet, I hated it, I'm glad I no longer have to do it, other freelancers can probably relate).
Now I can finally do this full time, thanks to visitors like you, and it means a lot! If you are interested, please bookmark this site (no social media profiles, I no longer have any, on purpose, for various reasons I'm not getting into here, but please feel free to share anything on any social media networks, if you still use them). I don't have any money to advertise, and if you have a personal blog, any social media profile, your own blog, please mention my gambling blog and link back to it. This the only way for a small website like this to grow. Thank you!

Charity: As a way to help others, to give back, I sometimes donate to Kiva. If you click on the ads on the website, I make some money (but not much, much less than you probably expect, and I only get any if you register an account, and you actually deposit some money). But in a good month, if I make more than my expenses, I donate to charities, primarily on Kiva.
Kiva helps young entrepreneurs in developing countries, which is an issue close to my heart for obvious reasons. If you have the means, please sign up with the revolutionary non-profit company and help people lift themselves out of poverty, through hard-work, and an initial investment (non-profit loans). These non-profit loans encourage entrepreneurship and hard work, instead of creating a dependent class that is afraid to get a job, or start a business (because if they did, they would no longer get benefits and free money). This is the right way to fight poverty in developing countries (or anywhere else really), and if this is something you are interested in, and if you would like to know more, or to help out, please check out here. Thank you!
